This months Catalyst release comes with a couple of new features, such as: APP (Accelerated Parallel Processing), better dynamic contrast, accelerated WMV HD playback (HD5000 & HD 6000 Series) and AMD HD3D technology ( HD 6000 Series). The new APP feature means that from now on the OpenCL driver will be included in the package and won’t be a separate download anymore. Catalyst 10.10 also comes with performance improvements for HD 5000 Series in a number of titles such as: Aliens vs. Predator, BattleForge, Crysis Warhead, Far Cry 2, Metro 2033, STALKER – Call of Pripyat, World in Conflict and the Unigine Heaven benchmark. New and updated CrossFire profiles are available for Medal of Honor, Darksider, NBA 2K11, Civilization V, H.A.W.X. 2, Formula 1 2010 and the Stone Giant benchmark, so make sure you grab the Application Profiles download as well.
AMD also released a hotfix dubbed 10.10a that adds support for Morphological Anti-Aliasing (MLAA) and provides some performance improvements in StarCraft II, Aliens vs. Predator and general OpenGL improvements for the HD 6800 Series.
