The guys over at CoolPC posted a sneak peak of nVIDIA’s upcoming new performance-mainstream card, the GTX 560. The reference design apparently uses a 4+1 phase power design and is powered trough two 6-pin power connectors. The cooling solution has a bit more muscle compared to the reference offering on the GTX 460. It has three 8mm heatpipes starting from a heatspreader baseplate that covers the onboard memory and the power circuitry, this way the heat from these components and the GPU is transferred to a larger heatsink. I’m afraid there are some bad news for enthusiasts dreaming of a 4-way GTX 560 system, cause SLi is limited to 2-way sadly. If rumors are true, the ards are launching next Thursday on the 25th of January.
